Coastal Elegance, Just for Two.
Activities, beaches, experiences, and curated stays for just two
Hilton Head Island slows down when it’s just the two of you. Mornings start with coffee on a quiet balcony and a barefoot walk on cool, hard-packed sand in Forest Beach, afternoons drift by under the live oaks and Spanish moss of Sea Pines, and evenings end with salt air and a sky going pink over Calibogue Sound. From Sea Pines to Palmetto Dunes, the island has room for an anniversary, a honeymoon, or a long weekend that’s entirely your own.
Our Host & Home “Coastal Elegance, Just for Two.” Area Guide connects you with the island’s best experiences, beaches, dining, and stays for two. Host & Home handles every detail before you arrive — offering a higher standard of care and a better way to stay on Hilton Head Island.

What to see and do around the island as a couple.
Sea Love Candle Making
The Shops at Sea Pines CenterAt Sea Love’s candle bar in The Shops at Sea Pines Center, you’ll pour custom soy candles side by side. A Certified Scent Stylist walks you through a fragrance wall of more than 100 scents, so you can each blend one that feels like you, or create a single scent together for home. Sessions run about 45 to 60 minutes, candles start at $47 per person, and beer and wine are available while you pour. Book ahead in season and plan to pick up your candles two to three hours later, once they’ve set. Every time you light it at home, the trip comes back with it.
Shoreline Bike Ride
Coligny Beach Park to Palmetto DunesHilton Head Island’s 12 miles of flat, hard-packed beach let you ride side by side right at the water’s edge. Go at low tide, when the sand is widest and firmest, and pedal north from Coligny Beach Park toward Palmetto Dunes with the surf rolling in beside you. Beach cruisers are easy to rent across the island, and many local shops deliver bikes straight to your door. Ride out for lunch, or time the trip home for golden hour, when the whole shoreline turns warm and quiet.
The Jazz Corner
The Village at WexfordSince 1999, The Jazz Corner has paired live jazz with fine dining at The Village at Wexford, and it’s still one of the island’s most intimate rooms for a night out. Two shows run nightly, at 6:30 and 9:00 p.m., with performers that change from night to night. Dinner reservations are required for a table during the show, the music ticket is priced separately from your meal, and summer and holiday dates fill weeks ahead. Ask for a table near the stage, order a classic cocktail, and let the set carry the evening.
Creative Escapes Art Cafe
20 Hatton PlaceCreative Escapes Art Cafe at 20 Hatton Place turns an afternoon into something you’ll take home: fluid-art canvases, resin tumblers and wine glasses, custom trucker hats, charcuterie boards, and more. No experience is needed, and the studio team guides every pour and finish. Adult fluid art classes start at $45 with materials included, and the studio is open Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with walk-ins welcome. Resin pieces need 24 to 48 hours to cure, so plan your visit early in the stay. Make matching pieces or a resin beach scene together, and you’ll leave with a one-of-a-kind keepsake.
Dining
A few local favorites for a fine dining, sit-down experience, from beachfront views to professional hibachi displays.
Coast
Coast sits on the sand at the Sea Pines Beach Club, with an oceanfront patio, frozen craft cocktails, and live music most evenings from 5 to 8 p.m. The coastal menu blends Lowcountry, Southern, and Caribbean flavors around a raw bar with a rotating daily oyster selection and a seafood tower worth sharing. Book a patio table for sunset, then take a nightcap upstairs to the Ocean Lounge.
WiseGuys
WiseGuys trades island-casual for a polished, urban dining room on Main Street, with a modern bar and a cosmopolitan lounge alongside it. Its award-winning wine list runs past 200 bottles, with more than 50 pours by the glass, so you can try something new with every course. Ask for the semi-private dining room for an anniversary, or settle into the lounge for a late drink after dinner.
OKKO
OKKO Japanese Sushi & Hibachi pairs a sleek, softly lit room with two ways to dine: handcrafted rolls at the polished sushi bar, or a hibachi show cooked at your table. The hibachi room has only six tables, so reserve ahead if you want the show. Start with a craft cocktail or sake in the lounge, then stay for one more round and a long conversation.
“On CoastCoast was by far my favorite restaurant we visited in Hilton Head. Everything about the evening was a great experience—the view from the patio area is wonderful, the food was excellent, and the service matched the prices. We highly recommend Coast for any special occasion!

Beaches
Couples cherish Hilton Head Island’s coastal haven for its pristine, broad stretches of sun-drenched sand and calm, gentle Atlantic waters.
Fish Haul Beach Park
Fish Haul Beach Park sits on the calm water of Port Royal Sound at the island’s north end, far from the busier resort beaches. At low tide, wide mudflats, sun-bleached driftwood, and the edge of the maritime forest give you room to wander, hunt for shells, and watch shorebirds in near privacy. The park is located in the historic Gullah neighborhood of Bay Gall beside Mitchelville Freedom Park, with parking and restrooms on site.
Folly Field Beach
Folly Field Beach trades the crowds for wide, soft sand, reached by a wooden boardwalk that winds through the dunes. It faces the Atlantic, which makes it an easy mid-island pick for a sunrise walk, and the tide line is a good place to look for intact sand dollars. Paved parking, outdoor showers, and restrooms make an early start simple, with coffee waiting back at the villa.
South Beach
At the southern tip of Sea Pines, South Beach is a wide, quiet stretch of shore facing Calibogue Sound, where Atlantic bottlenose dolphins often feed just offshore. Its view to the west makes it one of the island’s best places to watch the sun drop into the water in gold and pastel light. When the light fades, follow the tide line to South Beach Marina for dinner or a cocktail at the Salty Dog Cafe.
Spirit of Harbour Town
Sunset dinner cruise · Harbour Town Yacht Basin
Vagabond Cruise’s Spirit of Harbour Town leaves the Harbour Town Yacht Basin right beneath the red-and-white-striped lighthouse for a two-hour sunset dinner cruise. Couples choose a private table in the climate-controlled cabin, with its panoramic windows, or up top on the shaded open-air deck. The route heads west across Calibogue Sound toward Daufuskie Island, past the Haig Point Lighthouse and the Strahn Mansion, and Atlantic bottlenose dolphins often swim alongside. As the sun sets, the sky turns orange, pink, and purple, and you’ll glide back after dark into a softly lit Harbour Town.
Dinner is a plated three-course meal from the chefs of The Sea Pines Resort: an heirloom tomato panzanella salad, an entrée such as blackened mahi mahi or cider-roasted pork loin, and key lime pie or a flourless chocolate torte to finish. The full-service bar pours cocktails and wine from a curated list, sold separately. Fares start at $89.95 per adult, departure times shift through the year to follow the sunset, and both seating areas are reached by steps. Book ahead, arrive early to walk the harbor, and save room for a nightcap in Harbour Town after you dock.
“Vagabond Cruise · Spirit of Harbour TownThe dinner cruise was beautiful. The dinner was excellent and the evening trip was magical… Slow cruise across the Sound and up the ICW… Saw the dolphins, sunset, and birds. Then the trip back into Harbour Town with the sky getting dark was beautiful. We will book this again!
